The Curator
Hello, I'm Giovana! I'm a twenty-something journalist, book lover, and curator of this blog. My love for words started when I was seven and had my first experience with journalism writing for my middle school newspaper. This trend continued in high school, where I participated in a junior journalist group with members from each corner of the country. This love inspired me to study communications majoring in journalism, which I translated to LABOOK'S blog, funding it and becoming what I call the curator of this online space. On the other hand, my love for books started in high school when I read a beautiful old Greek love story. Then I read Harry Potter (thanks to a friend who shared her books with me), and I loved it. HP is so important to me since it opened a world full of magic and dreams, without limitations and restrictions, where everything is possible. Since then, I started this book-ish journey, and here I am now, living a life full of possible things.

¡Hola, soy Giovana! Comunicadora social, amanten de los libros y curadora de este blog.
Mi amor por las palabras comenzó cuando tenia siete años y tuve mi primera experiencia con el periodismo al escribir en el periódico de mi escuela primaria. Esta tendencia siguió en mis años de liceo participando en un grupo de periodistas juveniles con participantes de varias partes del paÃs. Este amor me inspiro para estudiar comunicación social y fundar LABOOK'S, convirtiéndome en lo que llamo curadora de este espacio en la web.
Por otra parte, mi amor por los libros comenzó en el liceo cuando leà una hermosa historia de amor situada en la Antigua Grecia. Luego, leà Harry Potter (gracias a una amiga que me presto su copia) y lo amé. Harry Potter es muy importante para mi, pues que abrió un mundo diferente, lleno de magia y sueños, sin limitaciones ni restricciones, donde todo era posible. Esta foto de perfil fue tomada por mi. |
The Blog
LABOOK'S blog started as Corazones Literarios in September 2010 as a space to share my thoughts on the books I read, becoming a bookish blog dedicated to book reviews, giveaways, and book/author promotions. However, because my life doesn't revolve only around books, I also started to share my random thoughts, little passions, and those pretty things I find through my journey in the world. Hence, the name change, which is the short version of La Chica with the book's blog, hints at my Latina roots. I hope you like my blog as much as I like to write it. I also hope you can find something that inspires you and makes you a better person. Don't hesitate to contact me cause I would love to hear from you! |

Sin embargo, porque mi vida no es sólo sobre libros, empecé a compartir mis opiniones de acontecimientos actuales, otras pasiones, y las cosas hermosas que encuentro a lo largo de mi viaje por este mundo. Por ello, el cambio de nombre que es la versión corta de La Chica with the Book, un quiño a mi raÃces Latinas. Espero que les guste mi blog tanto como me gusta escribir en él.
