My Thoughts

Second part of the Bad Reputation Duet by Krista and Becca Ritchie, and I have no words to express how happy I’m with this duology. I think the twins made their best decision yet (aside from writing Addicted to You, of course) when they wrote these books. You can feel their love for these characters as much as we fans love them, making it an even more beautiful and nostalgic experience. The wonderful talent of the Ritchie has given us a beautiful story full of love, uncertainty and hard times but that projects the same message that the authors have wanted to give us since their first book, that no matter how difficult your life may be there is always hope of something better. Wherever You Are brings us two beautiful people, Willow and Garrison, after they faced one of their first tests as a long distance couple. And you know, I adore them together, I think they are a lovely couple and I am fascinated by the fact that Willow didn’t give up on Garrison, that despite the circumstances she was able to continue fighting for him, even when he didn’t believe in his own potential. As for Garrison, this boy is a pan dulce, yes, I know that he didn’t start off on the right foot, I know that he wasn’t friendly with Core 6, but we have been able to see his evolution during these books and it has been one of the most beautiful journeys, and I feel that he deserves all the happiness in the world.

Segunda parte de the Bad Reputation Duet de Krista y Becca Ritchie, y no tengo palabras para expresarles lo feliz que estoy con esta duología. Creo que las gemelas tomaron su mejor decisión hasta ahora (aparte de escribir Addicted to You, por supuesto) cuando escribieron estos libros. Se puede sentir su amor por estos personajes tanto como nosotros, los fans, los amamos a ellos, incluso más, lo que lo vuelve una experiencia aún más hermosa y nostálgica. El maravillosos talento de las Ritchie nos ha brindado una hermosa historia llena de amor, incertidumbre y momentos duros pero que proyecta el mismo mensaje que las autoras han querido darnos desde sus primer libro, que no importa lo difícil que pueda resultar tu vida siempre hay esperanza de algo mejor. Wherever You Are nos brinda a dos hermosas personas, Willow y Garrison, luego de que estos se enfrentaran a unas de sus primeras pruebas como pareja a larga distancia. Y saben, los adoro juntos, creo que son una pareja encantadora y me fascina el hecho de que Willow no se diera por vencida con Garrison, que a pesar de las circunstancias fuera capaz de seguir peleando por él, incluso cuando él mismo no creía en su propio potencial. En cuanto a Garrison, este chico es un pan dulce, si, sé que no comenzó con un buen pie, sé que no era amigable con el Core 6, pero hemos podido ver su evolución durante estos libros y ha sido de los más hermoso, y siento que él se merece toda la felicidad del mundo.

Unfortunately, I do have a problem with Wherever You Are and that is that towards the end of the book the story becomes scarce, as if it lacks content, since they skipped a little in the timeline and gave us some glimpses of the future. While this isn’t necessarily wrong, the problem is that between flashes and flashes, it missed scenes and explanations and it turned into a flat and incomplete reading, it seemed as if I was reading Some Kind of Perfect done in the wrong way (and I love SKOP). But I have a suspicion that the girls are saving this content for publication on their Pateon account, which wouldn't bother me at all if it wasn't because it affected the books. Overall, I feel that despite the last part, this has been a very excellent story, very well done, with endearing characters and lots of feelings. I love how the twins constantly try to do something new with their books, in this case jumping between past and present, which makes it something refreshing. Now, I am looking forward to Vada having her own book in the Like Us series, as well as Maximoff, Jane and Sulli will have theirs, and have the full circle.

Desafortunadamente, si tengo un problema con Wherever You Are y es que hacia el final del libro la historia se vuelve escasa, como si le faltara contenido, ya que se saltaron un poco en la línea temporal y nos dieron algunos destellos del futuro. Si bien, esto no es necesariamente mal, el problema radica que entre destello y destello, le faltaron escenas y explicaciones y demás que simplemente volvieron a la lectura plana e incompleta, parecía como que si estaba leyendo Some Kind of Perfect hecho de la mala manera (OJO adoro SKOP). Y tengo la sospecha de que se debe a que las chicas están guardando este contenido para publicarlo en su cuenta de Pateon, lo cual no me molestaría del todo si no fuera porque afectara los libros.  En general, siento que a pesar de la última parte del libro, este ha sido una muy excelente historia, muy bien hecha, con personajes entrañables y muchos sentimientos. Me encanta como las gemelas constantemente intenta hacer algo nuevo con sus libros, en este caso saltando entre pasado y presente, lo que lo vuelve algo fresco. Ahora, estoy deseando que Vada tenga su propio libro en la serie Like Us, así como Maximoff, Jane y Sulli los tendrán y tener el círculo completo.
