#BookReview: Heist Society by Ally Carter

Purchase: Amazon / B&N / Book Depository

Synopsis

When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her on a trip to the Louvre…to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie traveled to Austria…to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen, she planned a con of her own—scamming her way into the best boarding school in the country, determined to leave the family business behind. Unfortunately, leaving “the life” for a normal life proves harder than she’d expected.

Soon, Kat's friend and former co-conspirator, Hale, appears out of nowhere to bring Kat back into the world she tried so hard to escape. But he has a good reason: a powerful mobster has been robbed of his priceless art collection and wants to retrieve it. Only a master thief could have pulled this job, and Kat's father isn't just on the suspect list, he is the list. Caught between Interpol and a far more deadly enemy, Kat’s dad needs her help.

For Kat, there is only one solution: track down the paintings and steal them back. So what if it's a spectacularly impossible job? She's got two weeks, a teenage crew, and hopefully just enough talent to pull off the biggest heist in her family's history--and, with any luck, steal her life back along the way.

My Thoughts

I love this book! Definitely, another story from Ally Carter, her other books have been sooo good and this one didn't let me down. Lot of people say that this book wasn't just that good as the Gallghers but I think that it does has a charming and excelent plot, with wonderful characters.

I'll start with the protagonist, Kat, she's a tipic Carter's girl which she present like an insecure little woman, who need her friends to make desicion and can't do it along, but she also valouse the people she has around her and thinks all of them depend of her (well, Kat's father does depend of her). I like this girl a lot because she through the story she changes and grow, so she overcome part of her insecurity. At difference of Cammie I do see the talent of Kat (but I won't compare them because they're both so diferent).

The big question is Who is Visily Romani? I think that is someone close to Kat, someone she knows and I think that he/she wants that Kat improve as a thief. I can't wait to know what's going to happend with this topic.

Finally, Ally takes us around the world and it's so fascinating. I need to say that I felt so many emotions and action through the steal. I super recommend this book.
